This plant goes back to the AD’s, one of the early names was Auricula Ursi which literally translated means “the bear’s little ear”.

Habitat: limestone or dolomite cliffs rocks (rarely sandstone) subalpine rocky grassland. Several distinct types occur in the wild and many new ones have been developed.
